Senior/Principal Civil Engineer

Our client is looking for a self-motivated infrastructure designer with an eye for detail, and proven design and technical skills, to take a leading role in our civil engineering offering.
As a Senior/Principal Engineer you should be an Incorporated or Chartered Civil Engineer (ICE) (or very close to achieving this) with significant project experience working within the UK planning and highway/drainage authority with developing or emerging client-facing skills.
If you have a broad ranging capability, experience and skills in the design of drainage (including SuDS), highways, infrastructure and external works at the concept and planning the we would be interested in hearing from you. A high level of proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and MicroDrainage is essential.
Having developed strong working relationships with multiple local authorities and drainage authorities and be able to draw on these in your daily role, is vital. Good in-person and verbal communication skills and a willingness to attend construction sites and meetings will help you react to design changes and produce efficient, practical solutions.
The successful candidate will need to be passionate about sustainability to help clients to achieve their sustainability goals and to support them to achieve their Corporate goal of achieving Net Zero during 2026. You will need to be a team player that works well with other disciplines with a wide range of Wellbeing and Social activities on offer at this consultancy.
