Together, we lead and leave a positive impact on societies, companies and people around the world.You will join our Aviation AirfielddepartmentAs our new Senior Civil Engineer you will be part of our specialist airfield civils team – a team of five experienced airfield engineers. Our core team is based in Chester, but location is flexible for the right candidate. Based on a strong future pipeline of work for both civil and military clients we are now looking to expand the team. The role requires an inquisitive mind, capable of developing innovative and sustainable outcomes to support our clients.There will likely be travel opportunities both within the UK and internationally.Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:Project ManagementCivil design at all RIBA stages for both traditional and design and build procurementManagement of project cost and budgetManagement of project risk and opportunitySupport and development of junior staffYour starting point for constant growthFrom the moment you join Ramboll, we will support your personal and professional development so that you grow with the company. For this role, we believe your starting point is:Extensive experience of delivering civil engineering services across all RIBA work stagesExtensive experience of undertaking technical and feasibility studies including site investigationsExtensive experience of delivering design of new civil infrastructureExtensive experience in review, assessment and design of any alterations to existing civil infrastructureChartered engineer or working towards chartershipExtensive experienceof delivering civil design in accordance with Eurocode and UK Building RegulationsExperience and understanding of Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 including Principal Designer rolePersonal qualities that will help you succeed in this role include: a self-starter and natural communicator able to clearly understand a client’s needs and align these with quality engineering outcomes.You will thrive working in a small, dedicated team able to deliver innovative and sustainable solutions supporting the continued growth of the team.Welcome to our Buildings divisionAs one of the top 10 building designers in the world, Ramboll works on more than 10,000 building projects each year. 5,000 experts across the world specialise in creating more innovative, sustainable and liveable buildings.
