Senior/Principal Bridge EngineerYORKMR500Salary up to £60,000 + BenefitsOur client, a successful Civil and Structural design Consultant, are looking to grow the Bridges department and have an exciting new vacancy for a Senior/Principal Bridge Engineer to join the team in York.The ideal Bridge Engineer candidate should have:An engineering degree and be a Chartered Engineer - ICE, IStructE;A minimum of 6 years' relevant experience in a design environment.Experience in undertaking the role of CRE Bridge refurbishment/renewals in a range of structural types and materialsA desire for career progression within a growing, employee-owned company.Excellent leadership and communication skillsExperience of some of the following structures - bridges, tunnels, stations & buildings, geotechnical structures, and design using various materials, eg - concrete, steel, timber, masonryProject management experience including project scoping, coordinating design activities, contractual and financial managementExperience of management of teams of up to 2-4 peopleExperience of working on multiple concurrent and multi-discipline commissionsExperience in representing the company to clients and working with a range of project stakeholdersAn innovative outlook and be looking to use and further develop technical and business skills to match the growing needs of the businessWork Winning in a Client facing roleClean driving licence Key responsibilities for this Bridge Engineer role will include:Development of conceptual and detailed designs in accordance with project requirementsChecking of design calculations and drawings completed by other engineersStructural calculations and analysis using appropriate software packagesTechnical leadership/ input/ review role for design, assessment and other technical aspects.Assisting in preparation of fee proposalsManaging and building relationships with clients, consultants and contractorsAttending meetings representing MHB and the design teamOn site visits/ structural inspections/ investigations.Providing technical support to less experienced staffProject management of small and medium sized projectsFor this Bridge Engineer role our client is offering;Competitive SalaryAnnual profit related bonus (up to £3600 tax free due to employee owned status)21 days' annual leave + 8 Bank Holidays with an option to purchase up to an additional 5 daysContinuous training and developmentYearly Professional Membership paidCompany pension schemeGroup Life InsurancePrivate Health CareRange of additional company benefitsInterested?
