Location – Reigate or Edinburgh, Permanent
This is a Hybrid/ Blended Working Role and you’ll need to work in our Reigate or Edinburgh office 2 days a week.

We’re looking for a Senior Pricing Manager to drive our Motor Retail Pricing team. In this role you will expertly help manage our motor trading position, develop our retail pricing approach to be world class and support delivery of wider business change. You’ll be a natural leader with the ability to people manage effectively to motivate and guide your team to success.
You’ll be responsible for building and maintaining a range of internal relationships, including with the Head of Product, Commercial, Technology and Risk Pricing teams. You will also have opportunities to interact with stakeholders from across the Tesco Group.
You’ll be working alongside a team of five other Senior Pricing Managers reporting into the Head of Pricing, with a team of pricing managers and analyst reporting to you. You will have the opportunity to shape our retail pricing algorithms at a critical point in our development using market leading technology and access to unique data.
What you’ll be doing
• Pricing Model Ownership – Developing, maintaining and monitoring the performance of our Motor new business and renewal pricing models. Ensuring the ongoing compliance of these models with regulation and our pricing principles
• Advanced and Predictive Analytics - Employing machine learning techniques and build predictive, descriptive, and behavioural models to help achieve various business performance objectives and to help identify business opportunities, linking insights to actionable recommendations
• Leadership and Direction - Communicating the actions needed to implement the function's strategy and business plan within the team; explaining the relationship to the broader organisation's mission, vision and values; motivating people to commit to these and to doing extraordinary things to achieve local business goals
• Performance Management – Managing and reporting on the performance of a substantial team with varied strengths team; set appropriate performance objectives for direct reports or project / account team members and hold them accountable for achieving these; take appropriate corrective action where necessary to ensure the achievement of team / personal objectives.

We need you to have
• Experience in a general insurance environment in a price optimisation/retail price setting role and people management experience
• Commercial Competence - Acting independently to apply comprehensive understanding of the business environment and objectives developing solutions while providing guidance and training to others
• Planning and Organising - Using comprehensive knowledge and skills to work independently while providing guidance and training to others on planning, organising, prioritising and overseeing activities to efficiently meet business objectives
• Risk Management - Using comprehensive knowledge and/or skills to act independently while providing guidance and training to others on identifying, assessing, prioritising and managing risks.
And if you have any of these, even better
• Experience in a market leading motor personal lines organisation
• A statistically based postgraduate or professional qualification (e.g. qualified Actuary).
