Nonstop care is working with a well-established Adoption Agency in North West London that is looking for a dedicated Social Worker to join their Family Finding Team within the Adoption service.

This position provides continuous professional development through regular supervision, ongoing training, and collaborative shared learning, fostering a dynamic work culture that enhances both individual and team effectiveness in delivering quality services to children and families

As part of the team, you'll actively engage in family finding, conducting assessments, and assisting the team with providing a statutory post adoption service, fostering a dynamic work environment. Your Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment, preparation and assessment of families for children referred to the agency, including presentation of PARs at panel meetings.
  • Provide good liaison with care agencies in order to match suitable children with approved applicants and in co-operation with the placing agency to support the applicants both pre and post placement, including where necessary post adoption. To attend planning meetings, reviews and Court as necessary.
  • To offer advice and, where appropriate, counselling to birth parents and extended families, adoptive parents and extended families and adoptees.
  • To share the agency's commitment to equal opportunities and diversity.

Requirements:

  • Hold a professional Social Work qualification and registration (SWE)
  • Have the ability to assess and manage risk, with a focus on service-users' safety and well-being
  • Post-qualified experience in Adoption
  • Clear, Enhanced DBS
  • Must drive and have access to own vehicle
