Senior Power System Engineer
Location: North England (Multiple locations)
Salary: £50-£65K
Responsibilities:
Performing network modelling and analysis, including steady state, dynamic, and harmonic analysis, in IPSA, PSSE, PowerFactory, PSCAD, etc
Taking on project management duties, such as budgeting, risk management, resource management, and planning.
Building trusting connections with clients and coordinating their active business development, including proposal preparation and project delivery.
Peer evaluate reports and other deliverables to make sure they are accurate, consistent, and live up to client expectations.
Overseeing and leading a small group of consultants to help with project delivery to various clients.
Essential requirements:
An electrical engineering degree, or its equivalent, and at least four years of related work experience
Functional understanding of both the technical and legal aspects of the GB power system.
Expertise in using multiple software programmes to conduct power system analysis.
Experience in project management
Proficient communication abilities both in writing and speaking.
A well-rounded person who can operate both alone and collaboratively.
Capacity to interact with clients, developing enduring and mutually advantageous
Desirable requirements:
Have worked in a consulting environment;
Have managed individuals and small teams;
Have knowledge of the regulatory framework governing the GB power system;
Have a keen sense of business and take initiative to find new business prospects.
