Senior Power Operator (Days only)

Job Description
Energy Trading business is now seeking to hire an experienced Power Operator to join their London office. This role will suit someone with 3 to 5 years Power markets experience ideally in a power operator role and will work closely with their Power Traders. The role will focus on both the UK and Europe and is day based with no night shifts
The key responsibilities of the role include:
Working closely with the Power Traders to help deliver their strategies and keep them updated on market changes for the UK and European markets
Managing day ahead and intra-day cross border capacities
Managing counterparty relationships
Ensuring that trades are correctly booked and managed in conjunction with internal stakeholders
Integrating new business into the portfolio such as new PPA deals
Providing understanding to the wider business of the key power markets which they are trading in.
To be considered for this role you will need relevant Power Operations experience in either the UK or European markets and a good understanding of the key drivers of the market. You will need to have proven commercial and analytical skills to make key decisions.
You will need to be a self-starter and self motivated with a strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills. Excel and VBA skills are also very useful.
