Senior Plant Operator - Anaerobic Digestion

Astute's Renewables team is retained by a renewable energy provider with a commitment to professional development and the future success of the Renewable Energy sector to recruit a Senior Plant Operator for its Elgin site.
The strategically important Senior Plant Operator role comes with a salary of up to �42,000, pension, life assurance and much more.

Responsibilities and duties
Reporting to the Farm Manager you will:

• Complete all planned and unplanned maintenance of plant and equipment across the facility whilst monitoring and maintaining plant efficiency.
• Take samples from around the site for analysis or various quality control testing
• Provide support to the Farm Manager and Plant Advisor as and when required and act as the liaison across the site.
• Feed plant with agricultural feedstocks
• Work alongside and assist third party maintenance contractors when needed.

Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:

• A minimum of an NVQ Level 3 qualification in relevant craft discipline (engineering, scientific or agricultural etc.)
• NEBOSH or IOSH would be ideal
• A full UK Driving Licence is essential for this role

Personal skills
The Senior Plant Operator role would suit someone who is:

• Experienced in working within a similar role with strong knowledge of plant operations, maintenance and commissioning.
• Confident of working with bulk flammable gases
• Familiar with Anaerobic Digestion, Power Generation, Brewing or Agricultural Engineering
• Happy working as a lone worker at times
• Available out of hours and occasional weekend cover
