Senior Planning Officer

Our client is looking for a senior planning officer on a contract until September 2024. Your main purpose will be to deliver good development.
Key responsibilities:
To manage the delivery of intermediate development projects from inception to completion.
To provide advice and guidance to customers seeking to undertake intermediate development projects.
To provide advice and guidance to customers seeking to undertake intermediate development projects.
To liaise with Building Control and other officers of the Council to ensure that intermediate development projects can be delivered.
To process the regulatory applications that are necessary to deliver intermediate development projects.
To calculate the Community Infrastructure Levy for qualifying projects
You will need:
A degree, preferably in Town and Country Planning or a related discipline
An understanding of the role of infrastructure delivery in providing a framework for the city's growth
Postgraduate experience in a planning, or development based discipline
Evidence of effective negotiating skills
