Senior Planning Officer

Our client is looking for a senior planning officer on a contract until September 2024. Your main purpose will be to deliver good development.

Key responsibilities:

• To manage the delivery of intermediate development projects from inception to completion.
• To provide advice and guidance to customers seeking to undertake intermediate development projects.
• To provide advice and guidance to customers seeking to undertake intermediate development projects.
• To liaise with Building Control and other officers of the Council to ensure that intermediate development projects can be delivered.
• To process the regulatory applications that are necessary to deliver intermediate development projects.
• To calculate the Community Infrastructure Levy for qualifying projects

You will need:

• A degree, preferably in Town and Country Planning or a related discipline
• An understanding of the role of infrastructure delivery in providing a framework for the city's growth
• Postgraduate experience in a planning, or development based discipline
• Evidence of effective negotiating skills
