About the Company



My client is a Civil Engineering Tier Two subcontractor who also act as a main contractor on various projects. They currently operate in 8 countries and have a turnover of �250M. They work primarily on major infrastructure projects providing groundworks and civil engineering expertise. Sectors include residential, commercial, public, technology, infrastructure and data centre markets offering a broad range of services including civil engineering, utilities and construction.



About the role



As a Senior Planner, you will be working across multiple projects for clients and contractors across the construction, utilities and infrastructure sectors. These will be London based utilities projects up to �30M. You will be reporting into the planning lead for the UK and will be expected to mentor and support junior planners whilst working in a small team of 3. This role will be suitable for someone who has a strong utility and construction background. Your role will be to produce high quality programmes for both tenders and live projects, including pre-construction and construction phases. Monitor and control project effectiveness, key outputs trackers and advise of any deviation. Assist project teams in delivering projects on time and in the most efficient manner. Prepare short and long-term resource allocation plans based on input from all key players and team members. Identify changes in work scope in the project plan and produce impacted programmes. Develop claims for Extension of Time and narratives to support programmes. Ensure to convey required project data and information to project teams. Prepare and present regular internal and external project reports / dashboards for management. Gather actual data, update project schedule and develop reliable schedule forecast with support from project team. This role will be based in central London.

Requirements



The ideal candidate will have a relevant degree qualification in engineering/construction or equivalent. Operational experience (i.e. site engineer/agent) together with experience of planning as a Project Planner would be desirable. Experience with P6 and NEC contracts is essential. I am also looking for good stability on your CV with a minimum of 3 years at each company that you have worked for.
