The Project
As an experienced
Senior Planner
based in
West Yorkshire , you will play a pivotal role in overseeing project planning and scheduling across a wide range of sectors, including
education, healthcare, residential, commercial, and leisure
with project values of
£10m - £40m
. With your expertise in planning software and methodologies, you will lead the development of detailed project schedules, ensuring efficient resource allocation and timely delivery of projects. Your input will play a vital role in ensuring the successful completion of projects, contributing to the growth and success of the organisation.
Requirements
It is essential that you have the following software experience;
Strong IT skills
Good working knowledge of
Primavera P6
You must also hold the experience below;
Extensive background within the industry with at least 5 years of experience working with tier 1 and tier 2 leading construction contractors
A demonstrated track record of working on new build/refurbishment projects with build values in excess of £10m in a comparable role
A proven track record of delivering high quality plans and schedules on projects that were successfully delivered on time and within budget
Additional skills;
Ability to negotiation effectively
Strategic and analytical thinking
Strong communication and attention to details
Flexibility to adapt to changes and revise project plans as needed
Understanding of industry regulations, standards, and best practices
Comprehensive knowledge of construction processes, materials, and methodologies
Competent in utilizing planning software and methodologies to develop elaborate project schedules
Proven track record in planning and project management, preferably within the construction industry
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders.

Duties
Lead and mentor planning teams
Participate in strategic decision-making
Procure essential permits and approvals
Create project budgets and monitor expenses
Conduct regular quality audits and assessments
Build and maintain positive relationships with clients
Maintain and oversee relationships with stakeholders
Execute efficient solutions to maintain project progress
Oversee the planning process from initiation to completion
Maintain accurate and comprehensive project documentation
Implement risk management plans to address unforeseen challenges
Manage and resolve project issues as they arise during project lifecycle
Monitor and manage project timelines to ensure adherence to deadlines
Address client concerns and ensure satisfaction with project deliverables
Ensure projects comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards
Prepare and present regular reports on project progress, challenges, and outcomes
Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate and manage them effectively
Offer insights and recommendations to senior management based on project analyses
Develop comprehensive project schedules, considering critical milestones and dependencies
Contribute to the development of long-term strategic plans for the organization or specific projects
Utilize project management tools and technologies to improve planning and coordination processes
Work closely with both internal and external stakeholders, encompassing clients, team members, and regulatory authorities
