Our client is a composed team of proficient professionals who bring expertise, dedication, and meticulous attention to detail to each project they embark on.The ProjectsAs a highly experienced Senior Planner, based in the North West, you will play a crucial role in overseeing various large commercial and education new build / refurbishment projects. You will be coordinating the planning, scheduling, and coordination to ensure a smooth and successful completion.Requirements For this role it is essential that you carry the following professional qualifications as a minimum;Extensive background, 5 years minimum of effectively operating in a Planner position or similar, working on various large commercial and education new builds and refurbishmentsA demonstrated track record of delivering high quality plans and schedules on projects, delivered on time and within budgetAdditional skills;IT skillsAbility to negotiation effectivelyStrong strategic and analytical thinkingProficient in relevant planning softwareStrong communication and attention to detailsA wide understanding of construction laws and regulationsThe ability to accurately estimate the costs associated with the projectA solid understanding of construction planning processes, materials, and methodologiesExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders The RoleJob Title: Senior PlannerJob Type: PermanentProject: Various projects in North WestLocation: North WestReporting to: Operations Director DutiesSupport and mentor planning teamsParticipate in strategic decision-makingProcure essential permits and approvalsReporting directly to Operations DirectorConduct thorough onsite progress assessmentsDevelop project budgets and oversee expenditureMaintain and oversee relationships with stakeholdersOversee the planning process from initiation to completionImplement effective measures to sustain project momentumEffectively oversee, monitor, and nurture positive client relationshipsImplement risk management plans to address unforeseen challengesMonitor and manage project timelines to ensure adherence to deadlinesAddress client concerns and ensure satisfaction with project deliverablesOversee and resolve project issues as they emerge during project lifecycleSupervise the planning phases of tendering and contracting across all projectsEnsure projects comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standardsPrepare and present regular reports on project progress, challenges, and outcomesIdentify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate and manage them effectivelySupport and aid the contracts teams in crafting short-term, target, and revised schedules as neededCollaborate with site and project management team, assuring the smooth and successful completion of projectConsistently assess planning schedules and promptly take necessary steps to secure the successful conclusion of projectsVerify the precision of specified tender and contract schedules in collaboration with the appropriate project team This is a permanent position with an excellent salary on offer for the successful candidate.
