We offer strong professional leadership across the acute therapy service at East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust.Our inpatient service covers Acute Trust rotations at Lister Hospital, Stevenage which includes respiratory care, including on call opportunities; orthopaedics; care of the elderly; stroke/hyperacute stroke unit; general medical wards and acute medical assessment.Our Values are Include, Respect and Improve. It is important that you understand and refer to our values during your recruitment process and beyond!Main duties of the jobThe main duties of the post include assessment and treatment of patients within the wards at Lister Hospital, supervision and mentoring of non-qualified staff and students, taking part in in-service training, and taking a role in service improvement projects.You will be the lead physiotherapist on the surgical wards and for the amputee rehabilitation service, including outpatient amputees.You will be actively involved in the respiratory physiotherapy on-call service to the whole of the Lister Hospital site.Ability to travel easily between trust sites independently.Working for our organisationAt East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust, we are proud of the range of general & specialist services we provide & our 6,000 or so dedicated staff ensure our patients get the best care.
