UHDB Pharmacy Department is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated Band 5 senior pharmacy
T
echnician to work within the Finance and Information team.
The post holder will work within the ever-evolving area of the pharmacy department
.
K
ey deliverables include supporting the electronic prescribing
P
harmacists
, Chief
Technicians,
and
the
wider project team in the transition between electronic prescribing systems as part of the
NHS
England digital
paper-lite agenda.
They will also
be responsible for
general Pharmacy
IT
system amendments, support with stock control, support end user training and deputise for the Chief Technician where
appropriate
.
We are looking for a reliable, enthusiastic, self-motivated individual that
possesses
effective communication
skills
, and has
a
keen
interest in IT
.

all round
Pharmacy experience
,
hold a
n
NVQ Level 3 or
BTec
in Pharmac
eutical
science

,
or is due to qualify as a Pharmacy Technician
#####024;
and ha

current registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council

GPhC
)
, or
is due to register by Septem#####2024.
Full training
and
support on all system
s
used will be provided.
Trainee Pharmacy Technicians qualifying in 2024 are

maintain

Main duties of the job
Assists
in the management and maintenance of the Pharmacy Stock Control and Finance Computer System, Cancer prescribing system and the Trust New
EPR
system.
Assist
with the management and maintenance of the Pharmacy and Trust automation systems
including
the
dispensing robot
and cabinets.
Assists
in the management of the Pharmacy stock checking
and
reporting
process.
Produce reports for Pharmacy Managers/Directorate Pharmacists detailing drug usage and
expenditure.
The post offers opportunities for development,
and experience working across UHDB
sites.
There will be a requirement to
participate
in weekend
and bank holiday working on a rotational basis.
