This position leads People Operations across all Aztec Group jurisdictions and is part of the People Services team alongside Payroll and People Analytics & Technology. The People Services Team are responsible for service delivery across the whole employee lifecycle from onboarding to off-boarding.The People function is on an exciting journey, transforming how we partner across the Aztec Group, through evolvement of our operating model, redesign of our processes, and increased automation and technology enablement through the implementation of Workday as our core people technology.This is a critical role, ensuring the design and implementation of fit-for-purpose processes, leading the change in People Operations, securing the business-as-usual service delivery and people experience during transformation, and fostering a continuous improvement mindset.The position is fundamental in maintaining a compliant and streamlined approach to people processes whilst supporting Aztec’s goals of being the bright alternative, injecting and infusing our culture into every aspect of the Employee Lifecycle experience.Key responsibilities:Provide direction and leadership to the People Operations team, ensuring delivery of commitments, effective resourcing through risk management and succession plans, retention and development of team, and providing an escalation and support point for more complex issues.Represent People Operations in the HR Transformation Programme implementing Workday, designing fit-for-purpose processes and solutions for people operations. Drive appropriate input and contribution, and ensure optimum utilisation, skills and organisation design post implementation.As a member of the People Services Leadership team, contribute to the overall people services strategy providing operational expertise and insight.Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational excellence and represent People Operations in broader projects in the People function.Create, implement and manage service delivery standards, including SLA and KPI development for the team, ensuring that standards are obtainable and meet stakeholders’ needs in providing exceptional employee experience and operational excellence.Ensure all policies & processes are legislatively compliant, relevant, scalable, demonstrate best practice within the relevant jurisdictions and are commercially focused.Provide support and training to ensure all policies and processes are embedded within daily operations.Act as Process Lead for people operations processes, maintaining the service catalogue and related processes & procedures and acting as an SME for Human Capital Management (HCM) processes, including pre-employment screening and global mobility.Partner with the People Technology and People Analytics teams to develop and ensure adoption of automation and self-service technology, as well supporting data quality improvements and the provision of data insights to the business.Drive optimisation of core HCM technology, and proposals for and implementation of other service delivery tools e.g. case knowledge and document management.Manage third party vendor relationships and performance in related areas e.g. pre-employment screening, global mobility, etcEmbed a strong People Operations governance framework, to ensure that Aztec Group remains compliant in all jurisdictions and delivers a great experience to all.Encourage a culture of knowledge-sharing, continuous learning & improvement, teamwork and customer focus within the team and across the wider people team, actively supporting Aztec values. Promote relevant culture, communication, and engagement initiatives to develop and maintain effective employee engagement.Skills, knowledge, expertise:Extensive practical HR experience, including specific HR Operations expertise and strong HR generalist knowledge and experience across the employee lifecycle, is required.Demonstrable experience of managing and developing a multi-jurisdictional and/or virtual team of 10 or more people is essential.Experience working in a fast-paced environment leading and supporting the delivery of a global People Operations function is required.Experience of working in a large dynamic global or international company of 2000+ employees is essential, preferably within financial services.Practical Workday knowledge and experience of system implementation, ideally across multiple countries, including change management. Proven experience of continuous improvement practices, process design and utilising technology enablement with passion for driving automation, scalable solutions, and self-service.Understanding of employment legislation and its practical application in a commercial financial services business as well as an appreciation of the standards and industry best practice that are expected within a regulated environment.Strong knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and best practices. Experience with audits and compliance regulations.Excellent internal and external communication, influencing, motivation and interpersonal skills together with the ability to develop good working relationships with internal stakeholders and external service providers.Proven ability to work effectively either as an individual or as a collaborative member of a team and relate effectively with staff at all levels.Perseverance and assertiveness when facing and managing challenges of the role and the transformation journey.Passionate about providing exceptional customer service and employee experience.A structured and organised leader with strong analytical skills and data orientation in order to provide fact-based solutions.Strong computer literacy skills are essential; advanced user of MS Office products.Travel to other jurisdictional offices will be required on occasion.Who are we?Aztec Group has come a long way since first opening its doors in Jersey back in 2001.
