Pure are delighted to be working in partnership with the University of Cambridge Finance Division as they embark on an exciting Enhanced Financial Transparency (EFT) Project which is highly significant and will have a University-wide impact. The project forms part of an overall Finance Transformation Programme (FTP).
We are recruiting a Senior Payroll Team Leader, this role is part of the payroll department within the finance division, this position is a 18 month contract to cover a maternity leave and to deputise for the Payroll Manager over the duration of the HR Transformation programme.�
This role deputises for the Payroll Manager and supports in the management and operation of all seven payrolls and to provide training and management of the payroll administration staff.�You will be responsible for directly managing 2 members of staff and deputises regularly for the Payroll Manager in their absence.�
There are approximately 24,000 employees paid over 15 payrolls and five pay frequencies within the University of Cambridge so experience of dealing with volume payrolls in a management capacity is essential for this role.�In-depth knowledge of current and past payroll legislation and procedures including year end processes is also essential.�
