Senior Operations ManagerSalary: £60k to £80k DOE + CarNorth YorkshireMonday to FridayGrafton Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with Northern Energy to exclusively recruit an experienced Senior Operations Fleet/Transport Manager to join their team in Hampsthwaite. Reporting directly to the MD of the business, the successful candidate will be responsible for delivering the annual sales plan and meeting future growth ambitions.THE ROLE:Some of your responsibilities as an Senior Operations Manager are listed below:Ensure compliant, efficient and effective operation with a strong focus on health and safety.Manage and coordinate the activities of the operations team, including fleet drivers.Establishment and management of operational budgetLiaises with other departments to improve co-ordination, communication and promotion of the company's core valuesEnsure delivery of operational costs within budgetAttend management meetings and be responsible for presenting operational figuresCreates a work environment that encourages collaboration, growth and the well-being of all team members through continuous feedback and performance reviews.Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of operations with the company's commitment to providing excellent customer service. Be responsible for operational infrastructure, fleet, depots, stock, etc.Produce reports and manage KPIs to optimise load factors.Developing ad hoc analyses to further investigate identified logistics performance improvement opportunities.Ensures strict adherence to all regulatory standards, creating a culture of compliance with both regulatory and company requirements and procedures, including roadworthiness of fleet and driver complianceTHE CANDIDATE:The ideal Senior Operations Manager:Would be able to demonstrate a proven track record of success in fleet and transport management and operations management in the specialist transport sector.Hold Certificate of Professional competence in National Road Haulage Operations.Builder of personal trust through engagement and mentoring.Dedication to customer focus to meet the expectations and requirements of all internal and external customers.Financial acumen, able to understand, manage and report on freight budget spend.A leader, who listens, inspires and thrives in a high performance environment through engagement, where the focus is on the team and the wider business.Ability to adapt to changing prioritiesDemonstrate good verbal / written communication skills in order to liaise effectively.Flexible working will be required at times to support operations.HOW TO APPLY:To be considered for this role, please click on the link provided.
