We're proud to support our client, a rapidly expanding retailer, in their search for a proactive Senior Operations Manager to join their team in Huntingdon.Title - Senior Operations Manager (Logistics)Location: Huntingdon About the Role: As a Senior Operations Manager, you'll play a crucial role in optimizing operations, ensuring efficient distribution processes, and maintaining high standards of performance within our client's distribution centre. You'll lead a team of dedicated professionals, driving productivity, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.Key Responsibilities:Oversee all aspects of distribution center operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping.Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize workflow, minimize costs, and maximize efficiency.Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of supervisors and warehouse staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and drive operational excellence.Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments, such as logistics, supply chain, and procurement, to streamline processes and achieve business objectives.Drive initiatives to enhance inventory accuracy, minimize stock discrepancies, and improve order fulfilment rates.Continuously evaluate and implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance productivity and customer satisfaction.Requirements:Proven experience in distribution center managementStrong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve goals.Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on driving operational efficiencies.Solid understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and related technologies.Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization.A results-oriented mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.Relevant qualifications in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field are desirable.Why Join?Opportunity to be part of a dynamic and rapidly growing retail company.Competitive salary package (£65,000 - £75,000) with potential for growth and advancement.Collaborative and supportive work environment with opportunities for professional development.Make a significant impact by driving operational excellence and contributing to the company's success.
