Senior Operational Performance & Insight ManagerManchester, London, and/or NottinghamCompetitive Salary plus benefitsRole:Within the Strategic Operations & Data Analytics team, our mission is to be the trusted partner for Operations who enable the business to perform at its best through strong governance, insights, and intelligence.The Strategic Operations team, sit at the heart of the operational team and support the day-to-day business management and performance whilst driving future vision for operations.The team lead on risk and compliance management, business planning, forecasting, strategic insights, resourcing, governance and much more.This team is critical to the success of the operation at DCC and as a result, you will spend a lot of time engaging senior stakeholders including the Chief Operating Officer and the Senior Leadership team – if you are looking for the opportunity to develop your career, gain exposure and learn from experienced senior leaders, this is the perfect role for you!The Senior Operational Performance & Insight Manager will use data to drive insight and intelligence into the operational team, improving our business performance. The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical background and a proven track record of enhancing operational efficiency and driving data-informed decision-making. As a Senior Operational Performance & Insight Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our operational strategies and ensuring the delivery of exceptional results.As our Senior Operational Performance & Insight Manager, you will: Performance Analysis: You will work closely with our data science and analytics team as well as other key people across the operational team for example service and product owners, utilising analytical techniques to assess operational performance, identifying trends and patterns. Generate insights and intelligence to the operational team that will enable data-driven decision-making.Insight Generation: Utilise data analytics techniques to extract insights from large datasets and translate them into actionable recommendations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide data-driven insights that support strategic and operational decision-making.Industry Insights: Develop a true and in depth understanding of DCC performance. This may include current performance issues and challenges but then translating complex data into actionable insights that inform industry on performance and key issues faced.Deep dive analysis – When we identify a high-level operational risk or issue impacting performance, you will become the ‘go to’ person for people at various level across DCC to conduct deep dive analysis to get to the source of the problem and then come up with recommendations to address.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with department heads, managers, and teams to understand their operational needs and challenges then provide insights that will aid performance improvement or issue resolution.Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement by leading root cause analysis efforts, recommending corrective actions, and monitoring their effectiveness. Drive initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and increase customer satisfaction.Effective communication: Develop and deliver insightful operational performance reports and presentations for various audiences, including executives and cross-functional teams. Clearly communicate findings, recommendations, and progress towards goals.Proven experience in operational performance management, process improvement, and data analysis.Strong expertise in utilising data analysis tools.A self-starter able to identify trends, issues and challenges - a real get up and go attitude to tackle issues head on and who responds positively to change and / or ambiguity.Confident and credible, able to present work up to Director and Exec level with excellent written, verbal, PowerPoint and spreadsheet communication skills.Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities with a keen attention to detail.Strong communication skills to effectively convey complex insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive change and achieve operational goals.Strategic mindset with the ability to align operational efforts with broader business objectives.Experience in a relevant regulated industry.Experience of managing projects, change or operational excellence.About the DCC:At the DCC, we believe in making Britain more connected, so we can all lead smarter, greener lives.
