In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining the stability and high availability of our infrastructure. Proficiency in Linux, a knack for automating processes with tools like Ansible, and a solid grasp of networking concepts are essential qualities for success in this role. We’re looking for a good communicator who can share their knowledge and best practices with the team to foster an environment of continuous learning and improvement.Join our team and contribute your expertise to maintain and enhance our infrastructure, and drive us toward new heights of efficiency and reliability.What you’ll be doingAs an OpenStack Engineer on our Infrastructure Team, you will:Architect, deploy, and optimize OpenStack environments for scalability and high availability.Implement comprehensive monitoring solutions to ensure uninterrupted service availability.Automate OpenStack management tasks through script development and maintenance.Collaborate with our Middleware team to integrate and optimize Ceph storage within OpenStack.Work on capacity planning and scaling strategies to accommodate growing demands, while maintaining security and compliance standards.What we’re looking forOpenStack expertise: Experience Architecting, deploying, refining processes and mentoring team members and improving skill base.Networking Skills: Excellent knowledge of networking principles and protocols is a must.Automation Proficiency: Proven experience working with Ansible for automation tasks, coupled with scripting and development knowledge.Data Center Experience: Background in troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues in a data center environment, including familiarity with hardware components like Cumulus Linux, Gigabyte, Mellanox, Dell, and consumer-grade hardware.Virtualization and Containerization: Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, along with familiarity with virtualization technologies.You might also haveCloud Platform Knowledge: Understanding of cloud computing platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.Monitoring and Logging: Experience with monitoring and logging solutions like the ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) or Prometheus.Network Monitoring: Familiarity with network monitoring tools, such as Wireshark.Additional informationRelocation support is not available for this position.International relocation support is not available for this position.Work visa/immigration sponsorship is not available for this position.Life at UnityUnity (NYSE: U) is the world’s leading platform for creating and operating real-time 3D (RT3D) content.
