Currys Online Analytics Team collects, analyses, and interprets behavioural data on how online users interact with us; to inform trading decisions, marketing and personalisation campaigns that improve customer experiences and optimises online sales performance.
The role manages a team of online trading analysts who help to maximise the online commercial performance using a variety of data sources including web analytics, data on traffic, conversion & orders to drive insights, actions and measurable improvements.
Key Role Responsibilities
Provide regular analysis of the drivers for onlinetrading performance, traffic acquisition, conversion rates, funnel progression and sales.
Work closely with Trading Managers and Commercial Squads to understand business requirements, establishing challenges and providing analytic solutions
Produce insights that are easily understood by an audience with varying range of analytic understanding, creating powerful stories & dashboards to influence decisions.
Provide daily, weekly, monthly & ad hoc trading reporting & analysis
Create competitor reporting and benchmarking, ensuring visibility to key stakeholders or any risk and/or opportunities
Combine multiple data sources and use big data tools to gain a holistic view of customers and their behaviours.
Use statistical techniques & data sources to identify drivers of performance & customer behaviours to better understand past changes and forecast into the future.
Key Skills, Qualifications & Experience
Degree or equivalent in relevant field
Advanced numerical and analytical skills, with the ability to use multiple data sources, solve complex problems, identify causation and deliver insightful and practical solutions
Proficiency with website analytics software such as Adobe Analytics or Google Analytics
Line management experience with strong communication & stakeholder management
Experience with PowerBI or other visualization tools.
Excellent attention to detail, both in analysis and in communication
Excellent SQL skills, particularly with Google BigQuery and Azure.
Experience of eCommerce / Online Analytics, preferably gained within an online retailer
