We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Office Manager to join our friendly working environment where no two days are the same! This role is a key position providing management support, alongside a first class, high level of customer service to both internal and external clients for our multi-utility projects.As the Senior Office Manager, you will be responsible for the daily management of our Electrical Projects Team, ensuring high levels of organisational effectiveness and good communication. As such, you will be office based in Braintree, taking responsibility for the line management of administrators & Project Managers, ensuring that they maintain, administer, and deliver the key responsibilities of each of our ongoing project portfolio.So, what will I be responsible for?As the Senior Office Manager, you will manage the day-to-day duties within the Electric department, ensuring the smooth running of all administrative processes. You will be responsible for direct reports, therefore, coaching, mentoring, and developing your team will also play a key part within your daily activity.You will also be responsible for: Overseeing the management of our database, updating, maintaining accurate records and making systems changes where needed. Liaising with internal and external customers, ensuring information is accurately communicated, including daily communication with our Electrical Administrators. Preparing documentation/reports for team meetings, Board reports and meeting with Electrical Manager. Maintaining a professional, client facing approach, demonstrating excellent customer service. Review and update key departmentprocesses and Risk Register. Carry out Line Manager duties within the Electrical team. including completion of Performance Reviews, holiday authorisations and sickness reporting. Contribute to electrical management structure and attend bi-weekly meeting.The Person:We are seeking an individual who has a strong office management background. You will be someone who will help develop systems and procedures to streamline business operations, whilst also possessing high levels of organisational effectiveness, good communication and interpersonal skills.You will also have: Knowledge of the importance of customer service, understanding its impact on business performance. An interest within the utilities or construction industry. Strong coordination and administration skills. The ability to build and maintain relationships. A proactive and motivated approach, alongside a positive ‘can do’ attitude. Ability to problem-solve and escalate/investigate where required. Strong IT skills of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and Teams). Experience in preparing of reports.
