Alongside your teammates, you will strive toward WAN resiliency through dynamic routing protocols, providing pre-emptive support through an improved focus on monitoring, and scale the business with flawless connectivity to cloud resources and remote offices.ResponsibilitiesDesign, engineer and implement standardised network systems focusing on security and standard methodologies, ensuring that high levels of uptime are achieved.Find opportunities to optimise the functionality, performance, stability and security of existing networks, continuously assessing systems, processes and procedures for possible improvements.Ensure all existing networks operate in a stable manner to minimise system issues and production impact.Work with network team leadership to strategise and develop the overall global architectureMonitoring and diagnosing performance issues using on-prem or cloud systems and toolsDesigning, writing, and updating both system documents and network diagramsLead architecture and design efforts of our global network environmentsAdministration and support of LAN/WAN/WLAN technology to include routers, switches, firewalls, Load Balancers, and VPN appliancesInstalling, configuring, and solving problems various network solutions and architecturesWork alongside your colleagues in the Information Security team, ensure the appropriate level of security to safeguard company IP and to meet audit requirementsRequired Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s degree and experience as a Senior Network Engineer supporting a globally distributed engineering enterprise, or equivalent combination of education and experience.Proficient knowledge of network protocols and technologies such as BGP, OSPF, TCP/IP and IPSec tunnelsBe a hardworking, positive contributor to an organisation equally dedicated to collaboration as it is to successSolid grasp and expert knowledge of networking systems such as routers, switches, firewalls, VPN appliances and load-balancersAbility to lead several projects simultaneously from design to implementationAbility to analyse and evaluate networks, identify issues, and provide solutions to ensure networks are operating efficientlyExpert ability to design, implement and support LAN, WAN, and WLAN infrastructurePreferred Skills & QualificationsExperience performing network analysis using tools such as Logic Monitor and SplunkCCNP certification, JNCIP-Junos or equivalentExperience using Scripting (Ansible, Puppet, shell) for automationExpert understanding of enterprise network architecture and solutioning.Solid understanding of DC engineering as it pertains to network connectivity and physical architecture.Solid grasp of enterprise system engineering philosophies and protocols.Experience with vendors such as Palo Alto or Aruba would be good to have but not essentialProficient firewall engineering and management at an enterprise levelFoundational understanding of SD-WAN architecture, design and managementBENEFITSBonus 8% - variable and dependent on company performancePension - company will match to 8%Life Assurance 4 x salary with option to increase to 12 x.Private Medical HealthcareIncome protectionCritical illness insuranceShopping DiscountsCash Plan for everyday health requirements.Dental InsuranceDigital GPHealth assessment schemeCycle to work scheme.Electric car scheme30 Days holiday plus 3 statutory days.Hybrid working 2+ days in office.On-site Gymnasium – showers, lockers, towel service, exercise classesOn-Site Music room – guitar classesOn-Site Games areaOn-Site LibraryMasseur on site twice per month for discounted massageOn-Site Deli offering subsidised breakfasts and lunch.Education Assistance reimbursementFree car parkingSecure bike rackingSeason ticket loan
