JOB PURPOSE
Working within the TechOps Infrastructure Department and reporting into Senior Manager of TechOps Infrastructure, you will be responsible for day to day operation and maintenance of the AtlasEdge Azure and Server Infrastructure function across multiple sites in various European locations.This includes close co-ordination with Infrastructure support teams and third party providers. These services are delivered to AtlasEdge via a combination of one or more external vendors, third party consultants and internal resources. You will directly peer with vendors Service Delivery functions and ensure the the Azure and Server Infrastructure function delivers a smooth and efficient networking service for AtlasEdge internal customers.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Ensure that the AtlasEdge’s Network is optimal and maintained to provide appropriate service to the AtlasEdge estate.
Provide a level of day to day Service Delivery oversight.
Work alongside new & existing IT Service Provider(s) to ensure that services provided are fit for purpose and best in class.
Actively own the design and implementation of Network services (both WAN and LAN) as required by both Project and BAU workstreams
Provide input and direction in relation to the networking roadmap and architecture
Act as TechOps Infrastructure change owner for all networking issues and queries
Be prepared to travel to various European locations as required by the business
On-boarding of new datacentre sites and providing networking support accordingly
Transition of new datacentre acquisitions/new builds into the standard AtlasEdge networking estate
Accept responsibility for new networking services which may be onboarded into the AtlasEdge estate
Report on the effectiveness and efficiency of the networking function, including performance and capacity management
Proactively provide input to the TechOps Infrastructure Risk and Issue Management process
Ensure and support Network Operation, via a 3rd party managed service.
Establish relationships and ongoing management of suppliers and vendors to deliver the network services, which are business critical to us.
Ensure 24x7x365 monitoring and operation of our networking infrastructure.
On call 24*7*365 as part of a rota for management of major incidents
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
PREFERRED EDUCATION/ QUALIFICATIONS:
Fortinet Certified Expert/Foritnet Certified Solution Specialist
Cisco CCNP
Demostrable Firewall experience across multiple platforms – Juniper/Fortinet/Cisco/Checkpoint
Minimum 10 years demonstrable networking experience (both project and BAU)
Excellent experience delivering IT projects to a high standard to a high performing organisation
ITIL version 3 / 4 qualified
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Excellent knowledge of IT Infrastructure.
Excellent experience/Knowledge of data centers.
Highly Organised
Works under own direction
Vendor Management experience.
