Are you an experienced Campaigns Manager looking for a fresh opportunity that you can hit the ground running with straight away? Are you based in or around Westminster?

We have a Senior Media and Campaigns Manager available within DS Smith's Head Office. DS Smith is an international packaging company with a focus on the sustainability of their products. This role is a new position, bridging a gap within the Communications team and continuing with their success.

Role: Senior Media and Campaigns Manager

Location: Hybrid working, office base: DS Smith, 1 Paddington Square, London W2 1DL

X3 days office based and X2 days remote working

Salary: (inside IR35) �70,000-�75,000 (dependent upon experience)

Contract length: 6 months initially with the view to offer permanent position

Shift Patterns: Mon-Fri, full time, standard office hours

Start: Immediately/ASAP

Responsibilities:

  • Helping to create a one DS Smith company culture
  • Reporting to the global head of communications and communications director for paper
  • Executing high impact communication campaigns supporting the company vision
  • Searching out relevant stories to build the reputation of the organisation
  • Liaising with tier 1 media in order to successfully execute the above bullet point
  • Handling media queries and escalating where appropriate
  • Overseeing proactive and reactive press office needs
  • Providing senior counsel on media handling
  • Securing media briefings for DS Smith executives
  • Preparing briefing material, press releases and reactive statements

Essential requirements:

  • Degree level with subject equivalent to Marketing or Communications
  • Previous experience within media and campaigns
  • Excellent understanding of print, broadcast and interactive communications
  • Ability to relay complex messages into digestible content
  • Experience and comfortableness working at implementation level
  • Up to date knowledge of current trends in communications
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • IT literacy especially with MS Office
  • Approachable and culturally aware
  • Highly motivated and results driven
