Senior Mechanical Technician

Mac Recruit Group require a Senior Mechanical Technician to join a brand-new energy form waste plant in Lochgelly, Fife.
Senior Mechanical Technician duties:
Perform routine inspections and maintenance on mechanical equipment such as boilers, turbines, pumps, conveyors, and compressors to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Conduct diagnostic tests to identify and resolve mechanical issues, including leaks, malfunctions, and abnormal vibrations.
Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to develop and implement preventive maintenance plans for mechanical systems to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.
Lead troubleshooting efforts during equipment breakdowns, coordinating with relevant teams to expedite repairs and minimize production losses.
Oversee the installation, commissioning, and decommissioning of mechanical equipment, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
Train and mentor junior mechanical technicians, providing technical guidance and support to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and inventory levels to support effective decision-making and regulatory compliance.
Participate in safety audits and inspections, identifying potential hazards and implementing corrective actions to mitigate risks and ensure a safe working environment.
