Senior Mechanical Estimator Wanted in Dartford!
My Client is a leading construction company based in the heart of Dartford is currently seeking to hire an experienced and skilled senior mechanical estimator. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing accurate cost estimates for complex projects using their expertise.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher qualification in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 5 years' experience as a mechanical estimator with proven track records.
Skills Required:
The successful applicant should possess the following skills:
1. Strong Analytical Skills - Ability to analyse data quickly and make informed decisions on pricing strategies that benefit both parties (client & organisation).
2. Attention-to-Detail - You must have excellent attention-to-detail when working with project specifications and drawings so you can provide precise quotations.
3. Communication - Excellent communication ability is crucial because this role requires close collaboration between clients, contractors, architects/engineers which necessitates effective articulation of ideas verbally or via written mediums such as emails reports etcetera.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Preparing detailed quotation proposals by interpreting tender documentation including technical requirements/specification documents from various sources;
* Coordinating meetings/discussions between subcontractors/suppliers/customers/architects/engineering consultants/project managers during tenders preparation stage where necessary ;
* Conducting site inspections/visits if required before submitting bids/proposals ;
* Participate actively throughout all stages of contract negotiation processes up until its signing off by appropriate stakeholders;
Salary/Benefits :
This permanent position comes with highly competitive remuneration package up to �65,000 commensurate upon qualifications/experience plus other benefits like pension scheme contribution among others.
