Our comprehensive services to the energy, water and resources sectors include development of solutions for utilities and infrastructure assets, industrial processes and manufacturing systems, renewable energy and storage and sustainable mechanical system design. We are trusted to bring inventive solutions to complex technical challenges: from exemplar projects such as Green Hydrogen Production facilities to Toddbrook Reservoir repair.
'My name is Richard and I work in the Leeds office as a Senior Mechanical Engineer. My role is split between traditional engineering and software development - this means that sometimes I am managing a team of software developers to build crash test simulation software and in the same week I might be designing a green hydrogen energy scheme. One of the best things I love about my job is the variety of work that I get involved with - I have just returned from a secondment to a water company! I work with so many different people from around the world that I get to learn loads about different cultures and careers which I find so insightful. At Arup, your role can be quite flexible, this means that if you are passionate about working on a certain type of project then you are often encouraged to pursue it which is why I can recommend working here to anyone!' Richard Stokes, Senior Engineer.
