This position requires the individual to work on a variety of projects within the sports/stadia, hospitality, education, commercial, healthcare, and residential sectors.You should be client-facing with the ability to motivate others and also work independently. You will work as part of a team, managing your own project work and design work to the required standards.Manage projects from inception to completionProduce mechanical designs and drawings from feasibility to technical designProduce mechanical specifications, schedules, drawings and any other contract documents developed through the RIBA work stages for review by project team leadersProduce design calculations using IES / HEVACOMP / ANYSYS (and other approved software)Have a lead input to the design progress and coordination meetingsProvide supervision and support at all stages of the design process both internally and to the project teamRequirements:Have detailed knowledge of building services systemsPossess strong written and verbal communication skillsThe confidence to effectively communicate with clientsExcellent understanding of RIBA design process to enable delivery of design stagesExcellent proven organisational and interpersonal skillsThe ability to manage timelines and budgetsQualifications and Experience:Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical EngineeringMinimum of 3 years’ post graduate experienceProficiency in Autodesk, Revit, Hevacomp, and IES preferredExperience in the design and co-ordination of building services, production of energy statements and development of sustainable design solutionsDetailed knowledge of Building Regulations, CIBSE guides, BREEAM, LEED, BSRIA guides and applicationsLanguagesFlexibility to travelDemonstrated technical abilitiesThis is a full-time position with excellent salary and benefits including private healthcare, pension, and 2/3 wfh/office hybrid working arrangements.

They have an exciting portfolio which includes financial, hotels as well as some of the most innovative residential and mix development projects in the UK and overseas. ROLE OVERVIEW:The Principal Mechanical Engineer will excel in engineering design, the management of projects and the management of teams, working on multiple projects including multi-million pound schemes.They will support the directors with the ongoing development of improved standards and procedures within the company, whilst taking the lead in managing everyday operations utilising their extensive experience.They will act as design lead on projects, promoting design excellence and they will mentor and develop the skills of the engineers in their team. One of London’s leading M&E Design consultancies needs assistance from an IES Thermal Modeller on a contract remote working assignment. The role will be primarily to undertake modelling work in IES to attain compliance with; Part L, TM59, TM52 and BREEAM.
