About the role:
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing and overseeing the implementation of mechanical tanks and vessels for various projects. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects, taking into consideration technical specifications, safety standards, and client requirements.
Key responsibilities:
  • Design and develop mechanical systems and components for Oil & Gas projects
  • Analysis and design of mechanical , structural and civil components with focus on concrete-steel, steel-steel RLG storage tanks.
  • Develop designs using in house and specialist software calculation tools such as FEA.
  • Evaluation of seismic and environmental reports.
  • Preparation of project design basis and review construction sequence documentation.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and technical evaluations
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure timely and successful project delivery
  • Provide technical expertise and support throughout the project lifecycle
  • Perform risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
  • Conduct performance and quality testing
  • Prepare technical documentation and reports
Job requirements:
  • Significant experience in Mechanical Engineering within the Oil & Gas industry
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles and manufacturing processes
  • Proficiency in CAD software and other relevant engineering tools
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Working knowledge of design of steel structures Eurocodes, in particular EC3 and US equivalent
  • Good knowledge of materials science.
  • Working knowledge of RLG storage tanks and international design codes. API 620 , EN 14620
  • Working knowledge of analysis software packages, e.g. STAAD, ANSYS and CAESAR II
