Senior Mechanical Engineer II

An exciting opportunity with a specialist in safety critical devices is looking for a senior mechanical engineer to join their growing team. Based on site in Coventry, you will benefit from a salary up to �55,000pa (depending on experience), 25 days holiday + Bank holidays and Bonus scheme. The company are at the forefront of safety critical device innovation and growing significantly.

As Senior Mechanical Engineer you will be responsible for:

• Autonomously owning and undertaking the design and development of product specifications and mechanical systems.
• Owning the mechanical development process to ensure compliance to the business management system.
• Creation of technical design documentation and mechanical requirements.
• Managing mechanical design changes through production and supply chain by creating and disseminating engineering change orders.
• The maintenance and release of CAD data, drawings and BoMs.

To be a successful Senior Mechanical Engineer you will have:

• Experience as a Design or Mechanical Engineer.
• Qualified to degree level in either PhD, MSc, MA, MEng, BA, BEng or BSc
• Experience in in the commissioning of mould tools, jigs and fixtures, mechanical design, sheet metal, injection moulding, assemblies and cable assemblies.
• A strong technical background and strong knowledge of engineering principles.
• 3D CAD (such as Solidworks) including surface modelling.

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will receive:

• Up to �55,000 depending on experience.
