Role: Senior Mechanical Engineer (Building Services)

Location: Birmingham (Flexible working)

Salary: �45k - �58k (Not including bonus)

Overview

This multi-disciplinary consultancy can offer an array of services for their clients including early-stage feasibility reports through to design and build, project management, acoustics, and energy assessments. This gives their engineers the freedom to gain experience within different disciplines and all stages of a project. Due to increased workload and a rigid growth plan, they are now seeking a highly technically knowledgeable Senior Mechanical Engineer to sit directly underneath the AD, manage projects throughout all stages, liasise with clients & help manage the Mechanical team.

As a business they work closely with developers on client side and take projects from early concept all the way through to RIBA stage 6 and oversee installations on site. The bulk of their work is within the Residential sector however, they have secured projects within the Industrial, Laboratories, Education and Heritage sectors. They are seeking to increase headcount by 75% and are set to move to a brand-new office this later this year!

This is a perfect opportunity for a driven, conscientious Mechanical Engineer with a comprehensive understanding of Mechanical systems to be an integral part of a rapidly growing consultancy.

Role

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will be expected to report to the Mechanical AD and assist the Senior Engineer Intermediate the production of designs and manage projects end to end whilst being client facing.

Ideally you will have:

  • 5+ years' experience within the building services
  • A Mechanical engineering degree or relevant (HND/HNC or Msc)
  • Experience contributing to a multi-disciplinary team
  • Knowledge of CIBSE guidelines.
  • An understanding of AutoCAD, Tas, Hevacomp (Desirable).
  • Deep and comprehensive understanding of Mechanical systems and how the design to installation process.
  • Experience with concept design through to detailed design through to project completion.
