Senior Mechanical Engineer
Location: London
Salary: £40,000 - £55,000 + Package
Our client is an ambitious and award-winning Sustainable Building Services Consultancy operating in multiple UK regions, covering a wide range of mechanical and electrical engineering solutions including sustainability, building physics, and Passivhaus. Their award-winning projects cover all sectors across the industry including Heritage, Education, Healthcare, and Commercial projects.
The opportunity:
· Due to our clients continued growth, they are currently looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their central London team.
· You will work closely with colleagues across their London, Oxford, Cambridge and Manchester offices. All under the guidance of your line manager, Principal Engineer, and project leaders.
· They are looking for candidates who have confidence in the design of mechanical services and efficiency in design software.
What will you do?
You will be working closely with other team members seeing projects through from inception to completion and handover.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Leading project surveys
Feasibility studies
Mechanical design on various heritage, education, healthcare, and rail projects from early design stages 0-4
Mechanical systems design
Contract administration
Management of mechanical services installations
Mentoring and helping junior engineers in your team.
What they are looking for:
A recognised mechanical or building services engineering qualification at degree level.
Minimum 3-4 years relevant experience in building services design
Experience in managing and mentoring junior team members
Project experience across different sectors of the industry
Revit and Hevacomp software experience
Excellent communication skills
Accurate, good organisational, and prioritisation skills
Own transport and driving license
Competent in using Microsoft Office
