Salary up to £70,000.
An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Matter Management Analyst to join a large, global, city law firm in London.
The Senior Matter Management Analyst will ensure compliance to the firm's policies and procedures in relation to the setup of clients and matters and support the management of the firm's regulatory and commercial risks associated with client and matter set up.
They will work closely with the Director of New Business Intake, the Matter Management Manager, the Head of Financial Crime and the Client Approval and conflicts teams.
Position Responsibilities:
Supervise the London Matter Management team and provide mentoring and coaching to team members to continue their development.
Work closely with the matter team and other senior members within NBI to ensure new complex transactions are set up optimally and meet both external client requirements and internal reporting/billing requirements.
Work closely with the Matter Management team in Sydney to manage daily workflow including handover and to ensure wherever possible processes are further aligned and processes are rationalised for simplicity.
Monitor the setup of clients/matters to ensure compliance with the regulations, liaising where relevant with the Business Finance, Risk Management and Tax Teams.
Using the information held within the Practice Management system to assist internal clients (lawyers/secretaries) by responding to their enquiries.
Liaising with the other New Business Intake teams to ensure a joined up and efficient process for the fee earners and PA's.
Ad hoc project support for the NBI team globally including data cleansing exercises
Training to the team initially and on an ongoing basis and processes change
Ensuring training documentation for the team is up to date
Ensuring the relevant sections on the Intranet for the Practice Teams are accurate and up to date.
Skills & Experience:
Educated to degree level
Team management experience of a small team.
Excellent research and analytical skills.
Good commercial awareness.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work autonomously and prioritise multiple tasks simultaneously.
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
Ability to work well under pressure and to deadlines.
Some Project work experience.
This is ideally a full-time and permanent role with hybrid working - one or two days in the office per week.
Salary up to £70,000.
