About the Role:
We're seeking a dynamic and experienced Materials and Logistics Controller to join our supply chain team. As an SME, we value versatility and flexibility. You will play a crucial role in ensuring on-time delivery of exceptional products and services by managing materials and resources efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with the Information Systems & Logistics Manager to optimize material and resource management processes.
- Forge strong relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to streamline operations.
- Utilize your expertise in communication, planning, and numerical analysis to drive efficiency and excellence.
- Take the lead in managing ERP/MRPII systems and leveraging technology for maximum impact.
Your First Three Months:
- Get acquainted with our current systems, procedures, and team dynamics.
- Build strong relationships with key personnel and suppliers.
- Identify areas for improvement in planning and material control systems.
After the Initial Phase:
- Take charge of procurement and manufacturing logistics, including resource planning and vendor communications.
- Ensure materials and components are available to meet manufacturing schedules.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and drive continuous improvement.

Due to a planned retirement, this position is available. A smooth handover is ensured, with the retiring team member assisting in the initial stages.
What We're Looking For:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in purchasing or materials control, preferably in the electronics/electrical manufacturing industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and familiarity with ERP systems preferred.
- Certification in materials management, procurement, or production engineering is advantageous.
- A proactive approach to identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing strategic changes.
