This role is a based in Smarter Shows’ divisional head office in central Brighton, East Sussex (with hybrid office/home working).The Senior Marketing Managerwill be the senior marketer across a portfolio of market leading expo brands (primarily serving advanced manufacturing sectors in both North America and Europe). They will be responsible (working in partnership with the Marketing Director and Event Directors) for achieving defined business objectives, including the quality and quantity of expo attendees (attending the events within their portfolio). This includes the large-scale expo events within their portfolios, as well as digital offerings (webinars and special reports etc), delivered as standalone initiatives or as part of a campaign cycle.The Senior Marketing Managerwill be expected to motivate, manage, and nurture Marketing Mangers / Marketing Executives / Marketing Assistants working within their portfolio.Growth is a key objective for Smarter Shows (growing existing shows and launching brand-new ones) and the Senior Marketing Manager will be expected to contribute through both marketing expertise and creative thinking.Stakeholder management is also a key component of this role, including internal stakeholders - working collaboratively with commercial, design and conference production teams - and managing relationships with external suppliers and event partners.QualificationsKey attributes and competencies:7 years + marketing experience (event marketing or business media experience essential)Exposure to strategic marketing concepts or tasks conducted to identity strategic insightsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsMulti-channel campaign planning and execution experienceExcellent all-round digital marketing knowledge and hands-on channel expertiseBudgeting knowledge, including calculating / setting cost-per-acquisition figures (or similar).Additional InformationRole Accountability and Duties:To plan, manage and oversee the execution of detailed multi-channel marketing campaigns, to achieve agreed pre-reg and visitor targets and objectives.To act as the lead marketer across a number of expo brands and events (TBC), ensuring delivered comms are appropriate, relevant, and aligned with the brand or event’s commercial objectives / value propositions.To participate (as the senior marketer) in collaborative projects including audience expansion opportunities, show launches and digital initiatives.Core job spec: to generate expo-specific marketing strategies and objectives, create robust budgets (including cost-per-acquisition targets) and ensure audience acquisition, audience engagement, and lead-gen campaigns are executed on time, and to budget, including:Strategic marketing planningAudience mapping / analysisTactical campaign planningData preparation and planningOngoing campaign analysisCampaign optimisation (to deliver efficiencies and increased levels of performance)
