Job title: Senior Manufacturing Engineering Manager – Dreadnought Location: Barrow-In-Furness
Salary: Negotiable, depending on experience + Executive car allowance + bonus What you’ll be doing:
Reporting to the Director of Manufacturing Engineering – Dreadnought, you will be joining a team of circa 10 people. Ranging from junior Manufacturing Engineers to higher level management working on an Engineering Masterclass that is the Dreadnought Class
You will have the opportunity to truly make an impact, leading and developing a team of 4 Manufacturing Engineers who take charge of production change management and are recognised as the change team for Dreadnought
Utilising leadership & influencing skills to drive new ways of working within the team, encouraging new ways of thinking while assessing the impact of Engineering Change, finding the best solution to implement the change in the production programme Taking large volumes of data, analysing, breaking down and presenting findings to internal Stakeholders. Assessing the potential impact and providing suggestions for mitigations to protect the programme schedule adherence
Your skills and experiences:
Engineering degree to master’s level is highly preferred OR equivalent experience Previous experience in working / leading in a change environment on an in-build programme
Experience working in a complex, highly regulated engineering environment such a defence, nuclear, aerospace or similar Experience with stakeholder management and possess the ability to professionally influence others Ability to analyse complex data and present high quality management information to senior stakeholders

Joining the Dreadnought project you will be heading up the team that is widely recognised as the Change Team within the project, working to accommodate change within a critical defence programme. You will be helping to grow future leadership for your team & the wider Manufacturing Engineering teams through effective leadership & mentoring.
