The role will be responsible for creating strong partnerships with suppliers to ensure there is a trustful and collaborative relationship enabling successful delivery to the McDonald’s system. This includes completing a consistent global supplier engagement framework, supplier performance metrics, and sourcing strategies.This individual will build strong partnerships with all tms Packaging Supply Chain functions, with a focus on strengthening the engagement with Product Management, Quality, Commercial delivery and category management.What you will bring to the agencyHighly collaborative and yet be able to drive resolution of issues with consensusExperience with contract managementExcellent written and verbal communicationExcellent organization skillsSense of urgency – able to clearly define timelines for actions to be completedExperienced in working in a matrix environment and still deliver on goalsCurious and willing to focus and commit to achieve team goals5-10 years’ experience in supply chain, sourcing, category management, and/or procurementLocation in Europe, UK preferredDemonstrated delivery of Supplier Management and Supplier Performance management that result in measurable beneficial outcomes (e.g. innovation, supply chain stability, sustainability, cost savings)Strong analytical, risk management/ compliance and sustainability knowledgeResults proven negotiation capabilitiesStrong critical thinking capabilitiesInfluence without authorityBusiness and financial foresightStrong relationship / strategic partnering skillsSkilled in using computer software applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, & TeamsSkills and experience we would like you to haveLeading and implementing Supplier Relationship Management programs across the supplier base in the defined region with a primary focus on strategic and some critical supplier relationshipsStrategic management of suppliers that results in a supply base that delivers uninterrupted supply of product to the system at a level of quality, innovation, and cost, consistent with the customer’s standards and expectations.Complete the STEP program (performance management framework) and manage supplier performance against defined metrics and ensure that suppliers are demonstrating continuous improvement in both the outlined foundational business requirements as well as transformational business strategies.Regularly engage with the STEP SMEs to ensure that its defined regional priorities are reflected in the global framework.Conduct supplier meetings as defined by the supplier engagement framework including business reviews, joint business planning sessions and performance management reviewsCollaborate with internal collaborators by providing strategic input in the execution of packaging supply chain activities including development of category strategies, new product development and commercialization, supplier selection, effective engagement during tenders, risk management, etc.Implement supplier strategies against the product category roadmaps to meet overall category needs and the customer’s long term business objectives.Ensure that regional perspective is embedded in global supplier relationships.Serve as the escalation point for suppliers with internal collaborators (customer concern drivers can include supply assurance, pricing negotiations, quality issues, project commercialization issues, etc.) and externally with McDonalds.Actively and effectively engage with internal collaborators especially Procurement Services and Product Management during the Source to Contract process to deliver against defined objectives.Complete the contract management process for strategic suppliers, including end to end review of contracts with legal and suppliers.Collaborate with the procurement services function to develop effective communication to suppliers during the tender processLead supplier engagement for supplier investment strategies related to product roadmaps and long-term innovation.Implement the supplier segmentation process cross-functionally to define supplier tiers on a pre-defined periodic basis.Manage local supplier relationships and expectations even if the supplier has a global footprintCollaborate with internal collaborators on the development and introduction of Supplier Diversity goals in the European region.Understand regional trends (sustainability, compliance, etc) and deliver value creation through the STEP program and other critical initiatives such as the Global Resilience framework.
