Senior Manager (H&S, COMAH, Fire, Insurance & Permitting)
The role will be part of the Capital Projects Management Team who are accountable for implementing the buildings and infrastructure program required to support Agratas’ ambitious plans.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Lead the development and implementation of a large construction scheme and future operations insurance strategy.
Focus on safety management system for regulatory compliance (in particular COMAH) and all permitting related to the program.
Manage process-related risks, reporting, and ensuring continuous improvement.
Act as the primary point of contact with the Competent Authority and other regulatory bodies and insurance providers.
Keep senior leaders, key stakeholders, and the Safety Committee updated on project safety deliverables and progress against the strategy.
Provide oversight governance and report to executive and relevant senior leadership teams.
Offer impartial and direct instruction to process safety engineers and other stakeholders on insurance and safety matters.
Experience and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction, or equivalent.
Background in managing and delivering technical safety and risk management projects.
Experience leading technical safety and risk assessments in regulated industries.
Proficiency in risk analysis techniques such as hazard identification and management.
Background in safety assessment across the lifecycle of plants, infrastructure, and major hazard facilities.
Understanding of relevant international and industry legislation, standards, codes, and guidelines.
Experience in safety assessments including Fire and Explosion Analysis, Escape, Evacuation, and Rescue studies.
Experience in addressing Health, Safety & Environmental issues associated with the Construction industry.
Development and implementation of construction project insurance strategies.
Working knowledge of electrical and mechanical equipment for use in potentially explosive atmospheres.
Proven track record of implementing business processes to achieve strategic goals.
Proven track record of developing process safety management systems.
Working knowledge of Construction Design and Management regulations (CDM) and Principles of Prevention.
