LOCATION(S): Edinburgh or BristolHOURS: Full timeWORKING PATTERN: Hybrid, 40% (or two days) in an office siteAbout this opportunity:This role presents an exciting opportunity to lead the SOX Business Partnering team for Group Finance Support (GFS) & Finance Data Analytics Office (FDAO).You'll co-ordinate and deliver a broad range of activities that focus on how GFS & FDAO meet their SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) requirements along with contribution to overall risk management practices. The role will partner our finance stakeholders and ensure the controls are robust both for our delivery of the SOX assurance and our Risk and Control Self Assessment (RCSA) processes. The role provides a perfect opportunity for you to use your expertise to drive the oversight of GFS & FDO control remediation activity, and curiosity to refresh our approach to assurance across the end to end process. This will include identifying risks associated with the IT applications, data lineage and opportunities to place a greater emphasis on preventative, business controls and a greater use of technology. In support of our ongoing journey to strengthen and automate our financial control environment more generally, the individual will also provide guidance and expertise on risk and control matters across the end to end business processes. The Senior Manager in this team will be expected to lead, implement and embed the SOX methodology for GFS & FDAO. You'll have a deep understanding of business strategic requirements and the ability to build strong and long-lasting partnerships and drive performance quality and continuous improvement to maximise value and manage risk within the Finance processes. By building strong relationships with our stakeholders, we’re enabling the Group to respond to internal and external change, adapting to a changing and fast pace environment are key for this role holder. GFS & FDAO operates in a team culture and you will be expected to work effectively as part of the wider team, collaborating to solve problems and sharing knowledge. We’re a team of 550 colleagues, with responsibilities including financial and regulatory reporting and control, risk & control, data, people and culture initiatives and strategy implementation.The roles and responsibilities will extend to:Shape and lead the SOX business partnering team for GFS & FDAO, working with the key stakeholders across the GFS & FDAO finance teams, as well as our Group Finance Risk, Audit & CCOR risk partnersCritically review our existing SOX approach, build on the quality and type of controls; identifying, recommending and delivering on areas for improvementEnsure our SOX scope is regularly refreshed to reflect business and regulatory changeCo-ordinate and plan risk and control assessments, mapping of key processes and controls, remediation actions, and provide guidance across the end to end GFS & FDAO finance processesProvide guidance, review and challenge to process and control owners in the application of the Risk Management framework for the GFS & FDAO finance teamsDeliver the Finance SOX strategy, driving business strategic requirements and building partnerships with senior internal and external stakeholdersAbout us:If you think all banks are the same, you’d be wrong.
