We have a global remit and, with our partners across the company, we bring the best of American Express’ payment and related services to life through our digital experiences.As part of EDX, the Digital Core Member Experiences team (DCMX), is a group of highly talented Product Owners based in New York, Phoenix, Gurgaon, London and Brighton.  We are a critical enabler of the digital product management organization and lead software product development for core mobile and web experiences, plus the personalization products that power them.  Our vision is to create the World’s best digital Customer experience.We are looking for a Senior Manager, Strategy and Planning who will play a critical role in assisting the VP of DCMX and the broader DCMX leadership team in driving the continued growth and development of the team.  The Snr Manager, Strategy and Planning, will be directly responsible for team wide strategic planning, budget management, communications, colleague experience and special projects.  The role will be an integral part of the leadership team and will have the opportunity to work across a wide range of strategic, communication and analytical initiatives to help ensure our customer and business objectives are attained.This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated individual who is curious about software product development, to join a dynamic team and immerse themselves in digital products. How will you make an impact in this role?Partner across the team to define, document and communicate strategic priorities and help shape the DCMX vision, strategy and roadmapDocument annual and quarterly goals for the team, assist with tracking performance against goals and communication with the team on performance on a regular basisCraft presentations for key business updates with senior leaders and internal stakeholders to showcase key initiatives, channel performance and update on strategic prioritiesDevelop presentations, content and agendas for key internal and external meetings (e.g. Town Halls, workshops, employee engagement events)Support the VP with management and administration of quarterly/annual processes (goal setting, scorecard management, year-end performance reviews, talent assessments, investment planning, and business planning)Own and manage team budgets, ensuring accuracy of reporting, correct utilization of funds, and escalating and resolving any issues in coordination with business partnersCollaborate with enterprise partners from Product, Technologies, Servicing as well as with other centers of excellence on key initiatives and business prioritiesBuild partnerships across the Blue Box and act as a key interface for business partnersUnderstand the pulse of the DCMX team, assess the health of colleague engagement and development within the team, propose recommendations to address key themes/top priorities and manage initiatives to optimize (including team events, rewards and recognition and more)Ensure effective flow of information and communications with the teamPlay a key role in driving the goals of the team, including oversight of key special projects and initiatives Minimum Qualifications:Excellent organization and planning skills are essentialProactive and detail oriented with ability to think “end-to-end” and work autonomouslyVersatile, with ability to wear many hats and focus on creative problem solvingStrong sense of integrity with ability to handle sensitive issues and maintain complete confidentialityExcellent oral and written communication with the ability to translate strategic thinking into effective presentationsExcellent communications skills with emphasis on confidence and composure required to effectively communicate to senior leadersExperience operating with large cross-functional teams, internal and external partners Highly collaborative with a demonstrated ability to partner for results and influence effectively across the organization; ability to develop and harness a strong network of colleagues to deliver resultsAbility to efficiently prioritize, solve problems independently, escalate appropriately, manage tight deadlines, and handle changing priorities in a dynamic and fast-paced environmentStrong strategic and intellectual capability combined with creative/innovative thinkingProven analytical skills with ability to understanding drivers and impacts A results driven individual with experience of digital product development is idealTeam player, comfortable working in “white space” and willing to take on incremental responsibilitiesQualificationsWe back our colleagues and their loved ones with benefits and programs that support their holistic well-being.
