Following probation, colleagues are gifted 1000 shares, receive income protection, life insurance, access the cycle to work scheme and can purchase additional shares.The company is an established, global market leader constantly working to innovate and expand our product portfolio, with bases in the U.K and the U.S. We count many of the world’s leading biotech and brewing companies as valued customers.Main PurposeOur Finance Department is expanding and we have a new opportunity available for a knowledgeable and experienced Senior Management Accountant to join the team.In this role, you will provide control of the financial ledgers of ABER Instruments Limited, its holding company ABER Group Limited, and its international subsidiaries. Providing dedicated accounting support by producing monthly management accounts and accomplishing key financial close and day-to-day finance activities.You will be an essential asset in supporting the Financial Director and the team in driving forward projects, achieving business objectives and leading the team to success. The role involves cross-department collaboration, interacting with senior stakeholders, financial reporting and implementing process improvements.We are looking for a qualified accountant with strong business acumen who is effective from day one. This is the perfect opportunity for a finance professional with ambitions to excel their career within an international, growing organisation. This role will be office based in Aberystwyth.Duties to include:Cross-department collaboration inclusive of attending and speaking in business meetings, presenting to colleagues and knowledge sharingMonthly / Quarterly / Annual reporting preparation & consolidationProject work creating, leading or supporting projectsPerforming management accounting duties with accuracy and attention to detailMonthly management accounts including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statementsPosting key journal entriesBalance sheet reconciliationsIdentify areas of improvement and implement robust processes.Support with financial internal and external auditorsPrepare and assist with year-end statutory accountsDevelop and maintain robust processes and controls in line with Group requirements.Ensure consistent documentation of tasks and activities according to internal policiesAssistance with budget and forecast preparation across the groupCreating dashboards, reports and interacting with reporting systems (Power BI)Assisting with system change activities, and managing user permissions alongside the IT departmentSupporting the finance team by answering routine financial queriesKnowledge, Skills & ExperienceQualified Management Accountant (ideally CIMA, ACA or ACCA)Experience within similar industry rolesProficient in accounting software and creating reportsDiligent and methodical with excellent attention to detailAbility to work to tight deadlines and manage different prioritiesPro-active work ethic with high productivityAdaptable and open to changeAbility to travel internationally as requiredCommitment to professional development in line with our businessExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to build rapport with internal and external stakeholders at all levelsExperience of people management, with the desire to enable their growthDesirable knowledge, skills and experienceExperience of working in an R&D and/or Manufacturing businessAwareness of the employee ownership sectorExperience in import and exportTo apply, please send your CV and covering letter detailing your skills and experience to ##### byMonday, 20th of May 2024.
