Job Title: Senior Management AccountantLocation: ScotlandJob Type: PermanentStart Date: ASAPWorking Arrangements: Hybrid (2 days a week onsite)Salary: £45,000 - £56,000Burman Recruitment are currently working with a higher education client based in Scotland on the search for a Senior Management Accountant on a permanent basis.Job Responsibilities:Develop and maintain relationships with key personnel.Advise on financial matters and attend meetings as required.Address finance-related queries promptly and credibly.Prepare and overview monthly Income and Expenditure accounts.Analyse variances and participate in action planning.Facilitate budget setting and planning processes.Provide periodic re-forecasts and maintain staffing complement budgets.Contribute to annual HESA returns and University accounts.Participate in external statutory reporting as required.Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.Manage periodic claims to research funders accurately and promptly.Understand and analyse research activity trends and contributions.Conduct annual appraisals and promote open communication.Foster cross-departmental communication and continual improvement.Essential Criteria:Accountancy qualification.Experience of working in a large, complex environment.Line management experience.If you are a management accountant with a higher education background, please apply now!
