Senior Management Accountant

An international client is looking to appoint a Senior Management Accountant who will be supporting the Head of Finance for the balance sheet and management accounts reporting. This position will enable and run the budgeting process together with the monthly forecasting.

Senior Management Accountant – About the Role
This position will offer the opportunity to work for an international branded business and in a collaborative working environment across the UK and European offices. You will assume responsibility for the fundamentals associated with forecasting and the consolidation of the management accounts for the UK & Europe arm of this international client. You will be a focused individual who has a background of working in a fast-paced, challenging but rewarding environment.
Management of month end/reporting processes, including preparation of the company’s management accounts
Complete month end postings – accruals and prepayments with ownership of the company’s balance sheet
Production of monthly balance sheet account reconciliations and lead quarterly review with Head of Finance
Management of cost lines within the P&L, providing analysis on variances to forecast and budget
Develop and control the company’s budgets to ensure that all financial targets are met and variances from budgets are identified and reported
Not only does this opportunity offer this person to gain experience of working within an international business, but you will also be tasked with some process improvement to enhance the efficiency of the month-end processing.
The successful Senior Management Accountant will have:
ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CA qualification
Full understanding of complex P&L accounts, balance sheets and cashflow reporting
Experience of working with an ERP system
Experience of working in an environment with a strict month end close from 2 to 5 days
