Senior Management Accountant - East Leeds - c�55k

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Management Accountant to join a growing business where you will have sole responsibility for the accuracy and timely completion of all internal and external financial reporting, including all management accounts, group accounts, statutory reporting and other external reporting required for Group.

Ideally you will be a qualified Accountant with experience of managing a small team and your key responsibilities will include:-

  • Delivering month end and associated reporting to established day-five timetable
  • Monthly group reporting
  • Being responsible for creating accurate, meaningful and insightful budget commentary
  • Providing accurate and insightful analysis
  • Contributing meaningfully to monthly risk and opportunities review
  • Partnering non Finance teams
  • Working with the cost centre managers/budget holders to understand key variances from budget along with implementing appropriate controls
  • Developing of a reporting timetable with the Group Financial Reporting Manager including cash and bank reporting, marketing reporting and monthly and quarterly financial reporting
  • Ensuring full compliance of all banking requirements
  • Monitoring and challenging business performance
  • Implementing and developing extensive cost centre and headcount reporting
  • Supporting with system processes and controls
  • Ad hoc project work

Requirements

  • Fully qualified Accountant, ideally CIMA / ACCA / ACA
  • Experience of building, maintaining and developing financial budgeting models including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow
  • Advanced Excel
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to mentor and develop the team
