Senior Maintenance Planning Engineer (Team Lead)

Air Personnel are delighted to be supporting a client based at Bournemouth airport for the role of Senior Maintenance Planning Engineer (Team Lead)

Due to recent expansion in the Planning Team at our site in Bournemouth, we are looking to recruit Senior Maintenance Planning Engineers who will deliver the full life cycle planning process for all MRO base maintenance locations to achieve on time, quality and budget delivery of aircraft inputs. To ensure customer satisfaction and business needs are met, the role will require working in partnership directly with the customers, suppliers as well as wider internal teams including engineering and supply line daily, whilst producing accurate customer and internal service reports.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who have a background in aircraft base maintenance, possessing an EASA / CAA Part 66 or equivalent licence who has transitioned into maintenance planning within an aircraft engineering environment. Possessing an excellent understanding and application of Part 145/Part M (CAMO) regulations is essential, along with extensive knowledge and experience of the full planning life cycle for aircraft inputs. You will be a strong customer oriented individual, with excellent communication skills and the ability to lead a team of Maintenance Planners.

Responsibilities:

* Develop and fully use operational processes to ensure efficient operational performance

* Customer service and client contact – point of contact for the customer and the interface between our engineering team and the customer

* Pre-input planning, work pack generation, check progression and work pack closure process

* Control of completed work order and Certification documents, ensuring that these are closed accurately, billed, and delivered to the customer to the required KPI

* Ensuring that our customers’ requirements are understood and that our engineering response is planned, co-ordinated and executed in an efficient manner

* Liaise/engage with customers daily providing daily status reports on aircraft serviceability

* Liaise/engage with local operational teams to ensure smooth running of the department

* Participate in the quality audit programme and ensuring audit closure actions are developed and implemented

* Reporting of all SMS/Quality issues

* Perform other sections duties related to their position as directed by the line manager

* Provide briefings for engineering departmental management on a regular basis

* Support the Quality & Safety team regarding their duties to ensure all processes and department tasks are fulfilled

Skills, Qualifications and Experience required:

Essential

* Possess an ICAO Type II level Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) Licence or an Aeronautical Degree

* Extensive planning experience within an Business Aviation Aircraft Engineering environment

* Clear understanding of Part 145/Part M (CAMO) regulations

* Strong customer-oriented attitude to act as customer advocate

* Technical sales experience (quoting)

* Team leader and positive role model

Advantageous

* Working knowledge of Part 21 regulations

* Competent in the use of MRO planning as well as camo softwares
