Senior Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias)
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time
Location: Wythenshawe
Hours: 7.30am-4.30pm Monday-Thursday. 7.30am-12.30pm Friday (39 hours per week)
Salary: Circa �45,000 p.a. depending on experience + monthly bonus. 24 days holiday + Bank Holidays, Pension matched up to 6%
Role
As a Senior Engineer your role will be pivotal in strengthening the resolution, diagnosis, and execution capabilities of the Maintenance team within a manufacturing environment. Reporting directly to the Production Manager, you will be accountable for identifying and resolving electrical faults, conducting preventive maintenance, and ensuring the seamless operation of the machines.
The Senior Maintenance Engineer will oversee our maintenance department and lead a team two skilled technicians. You will be responsible for coordinating and executing maintenance activities to ensure the reliability and efficiency of the manufacturing equipment and facilities.
You will also be involved with key projects such as refurbishing and adapting machinery to fit manufacturing demands.

Role

Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular inspections of machinery and facilities to identify maintenance needs and prioritise repairs.
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and implement effective solutions to prevent recurrence.
- Collaborate with engineering and procurement teams to source spare parts and materials required for maintenance activities.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies related to safety, quality, and environmental standards.
- Lead, mentor, and supervise a small team of maintenance technicians to ensure high performance and adherence to safety standards.
- Interpret and modify electrical and pneumatic diagrams.
- Relevant engineering qualification such as HNC, NVQ or equivalent is preferred.
- Experience in leading a team will be highly advantageous.
- Familiarity with Electrical Control Systems
- Able to commute to Wythenshawe on a daily basis.
