The Client –
a global financial institution that is looking for a dynamic lawyer for their EMEA legal team within the lending practice. They cover a broad spectrum of work and have lawyers that come from fund finance, restructuring finance and leverage finance backgrounds.
The Role
Assisting (in accordance with policies, procedures, regulatory requirements and based on internal guidance and standard operating procedures) in the documentation, negotiation, and execution of lending and loan trading transactions
Working on group projects and initiatives
Identifying and advising on related legal issues
You
4-8 PQE (E&W Qualified)
Private Practice trained at an international law firm
In-house experience within financial services is a bonus (not essential)
Experience in the following from a lending perspective:
leverage finance, fund finance, or restructuring finance.
Strong technical knowledge of LMA loan documentation, including confidentiality agreements, term sheets, mandate letters, inter-creditor agreements, guarantees, and security documents, as well as LMA secondary loan documentation.
Strong drafting, negotiation, and legal analytical skills with strong attention to detail
Strong working understanding of regulatory matters affecting lending, including Brexit and Libor cessation.
