Senior Legal Counsel (Financial Services Sector) - Remote

Position: Senior Legal Counsel
Location: Fully Remote Working
Salary Guide: Up to �200,000 per annum, plus bonus and benefits

Our client, operating within the regulatory compliance, fin-tech, and brokerage sectors, is in search of a qualified In-House Solicitor. They require expertise in institutional brokerage, particularly in regulatory and commercial matters to join their global team. This role is offered on a fully remote basis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review, advise, and handle legal and regulatory projects, cases, and matters for the company and external clients.
• Draft, review, negotiate and manage a variety of contracts which would include business partnership agreements, terms of business, NDA's, services agreements, outsource agreements and technology contracts.
• Develop and maintain essential documentation such policies, procedures, manuals, handbooks, and regulatory reports.
• Assist clients in identifying and mitigating legal/regulatory risks and ensuring compliance with domestic and international laws and regulations.
• Liaise with external parties, including regulators, external counsel, auditors, partners, and contractors.

Requirements:

• Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales, with 5 years plus PQE.
• Experience in the UK financial services industry, particularly in asset management, securities brokerage, FX/CFD, or Crypto.
• Background within institutional brokerage.
• In-depth knowledge of UK/EU legislation and regulations.
• Proactive, enthusiastic, and resilient with strong technical, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
• Effective planning, multitasking, and attention to detail.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Strong academics

Desirable:

• International/multi-country experience.
• Knowledge of Middle Eastern and offshore jurisdictions' legislation and regulations.
• Additional foreign language skills.
